The right consistency or thickness must be used to be effective and this is by trial and error. Some of the main advantages are that if some hairs are missed then areas can be gone over again. Some hair growth is needed so that the mix has something to stick to and over a period of time it can cause the hair to stop growing completely. It is not as painful as waxing as the hairs are pulled out in the direction of growth unlike waxing when you go against the direction of growth.
